Challenger 3 - a new armored quality

The Challenger 3 is a comprehensive modernization of the still-used Challenger 2 tanks. The chassis of the Challenger 2 has been retained but redesigned and armored. The tank also received new modular armor and an active protection system, enhancing crew safety. The Challenger 3 features a new propulsion system, allowing it to reach speeds of up to 37 mph, and is equipped with fully digital fire control and communication systems.
The tank weighs 73 tons and has a total length of 36 feet. It can accommodate a crew of four people. The heart of this machine is the German Rheinmetall 120 mm L55A1 gun. In the Challenger 3, the British abandoned domestic weaponry in favor of a solution used in most Western tanks. The choice of this gun reflects a shift towards the modern ammunition standards employed by NATO countries.

Argentina and France discuss transfer of Super Etendard aircraft to Ukraine

Argentina is actively discussing with France the transfer of Super Etendard attack aircraft to Ukraine. Currently, these aircraft are inoperable due to an embargo imposed by the United Kingdom, according to Infobae.

The discussion involves sending five Super Etendard combat aircraft, which have been decommissioned due to the embargo imposed by the UK against Argentina following the Falklands War.

"France's involvement is crucial to overcoming this geopolitical obstacle, and Chancellor Diana Mondino and Defense Minister Luis Petri have been working for weeks to advance this secretive move, which also involves the participation of the United States and NATO," the Infobae states.

The five fighters are stored at the Espora Air Base in Puerto Belgrano because they require cartridges that enable the ejection seats in case of an emergency.

Argentina does not have access to these cartridges due to the British embargo, and since the planes arrived in Argentina, "they have never been able to be used." It is expected that France will repair them and transfer them to Ukraine.

Super Etendard aircraft

The Super Etendard is a French supersonic carrier-based attack aircraft. It was developed based on the Etendard IVM aircraft and made its first flight on October 28, 1974. A total of 85 aircraft were built.

Ukraine missile misfire: Russian Tor-M2 system implicated in error

During Sunday's shelling of Crimea, Ukrainian armed forces reportedly fired at least five ATACMS missiles toward Sevastopol. According to the Russians, one deviated from its course and fell near a beach near Sevastopol. Tor-M2 air defense system
The Tor-M2 complex is a weapon whose history dates back to the 1980s. During that period, the USSR began creating a successor to the 9K33 Osa system. The first generation of the Tor system was designed to combat airborne targets (drones, guided missiles, cruise missiles, aircraft, helicopters, and precision weapons) moving at short and medium ranges. Kovalenko believes using the Tor-M2 to shoot down ATACMS is unjustified. American missiles reach altitudes of several miles.

According to the Army-Technology portal, the Tor-M2 set consists of two 9M334 modules containing four 9M331 surface-to-air missiles in four separate containers. A single 9M331 missile weighs about 375 pounds and is nearly 10 feet long with a diameter of about 10 inches and a wingspan of over 2 feet. The warhead alone weighs 33 pounds.
The maximum speed of a missile fired by the Tor-M2 system reaches Mach 2.5, over 1,900 mph. A 9M331 missile can ascend to an altitude of 4 miles and get a maximum distance of about 7 miles. The rocket uses a radio guidance system.
